Where are you coming from?
Vava’u is the northern most group of islands in the Tongan archipelago. To get there you need to fly to the main island, TongaTapu and then get a connecting domestic flight to Vava’u.
Currently Real Tonga, is the only domestic airline operating in Tonga.

Coming from Australia
Via Nuku’alofa (Tongatapu) to Vava’u
From June 2020 Virgin Australia (Virgin Blue) flies to Tonga from Sydney on a Monday and Wednesday.
Their returning flights depart every Tuesday and Thursday.

Coming via Auckland, New Zealand
You can also fly via Auckland with Air New Zealand daily.
Their returning flights depart every day except Sunday.

Coming via Fiji
You can also fly via Nadi, Fiji with Fiji Airways – From June 2020 they have flights direct to Vava’u twice weekly and to the main Island Tongatapu several times a week as well.
Their returning flights from Tongatapu depart Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. From Vavau it is Wednesday and Saturday with an additional Friday flight during the season.
