In 2020 Linda Beks, professional award winning photographer will be running a photography workshop. Along with our licensed Tongan guides and hosts, you will have the most experienced team to ensure the best encounters on the water with the whales.

Originally from Holland, Linda Beks moved to Australia 14 years ago and has been working as a professional photographer with a great interest for nature, animals and marine life.
Take the opportunity to join one of our trips and pick the brain of Linda who has received the prestigious titles of NSW AIPP Professional Photographer of the year twice- in 2013 and 2016 and has been awarded nationally and internationally for many images created by her.
She is a Master of Photography within the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. Her studio is based in Port Stephens, surrounded by great marine life which she as an advanced diver absolutely enjoys.
If you are interested to capture some great images while you are experiencing this amazing opportunity to swim with the humpback whales this trip is the one to book. If you have never known how to use your camera properly, if you are a beginner or more advanced photographer or videographer or just someone with interest for photography this trip is for you.
During your trip you have the opportunity to learn how to expand your knowledge of digital underwater photography and join three workshop evenings where Linda will share her knowledge on topics like
During the rest of the trip Linda will be there to show you her photography, editing style and workflow so you are able to create the best image possible of your amazing experience with the whales.
You can either watch and learn or get the best out of this workshop with your own camera! This might be a point and shoot camera / Go-pro or a compact camera or professional camera in a underwater housing.
NOTE: If you don’t have an underwater housing we may be able to provide this for you from our sponsors.
You also need a device for downloading and backing up images, and a device (other than the camera) suitable for viewing digital images. Ideally you will have a laptop with a card reader. Better still some form of image processing software that will allow you to enhance your images is ideal BUT not required.
Package costs are for 9 nights in a premium shared accommodation on the harbour. If you wish to extend your stay or arrive early and depart later, we can organise alternate accommodation. Any dates outside the tour package will be charged accordingly.
