Have you booked accommodation (main islands)?
Have you booked accommodation on the main island (Tongatapu) while in transit to Vava'u? Also if you are on a flight that arrives at 2am in the morning and you have an early flight the next morning, I suggest you stay in the Foyer at the Scenic hotel. They charge you $20 but it is a lot more comfortable than the airport. They can even arrange to pick you up and drop you off and are only 5 minutes from the airport.
Have you booked accommodation in Vava’u?
Have you booked your accommodation in Vava'u? Make sure we know where you are staying so we can advise our taxi driver. We will send a taxi for you in Vava'u when you arrive but check that the resort you are staying at is not already sending someone to pick you up as well.
Does your Passport have at least 6 months before it expires?
Make sure your Passport has at least 6 months left on it before coming to Tonga otherwise you may be turned back. Also check if there are any Visa requirements for your country of origin.
Do you need help with cameras?
Do you need advice about purchasing camera equipment or housing existing equipment? (only applicable to those bringing a camera). We will be taking photos during the tours and hope to get as many photo opportunities as possible but if you want to bring your own, we are happy to help.
What equipment do you need to bring?
Have you got a mask, snorkel, fins and a wetsuit (Or wetsuit top if you prefer. this is purely for buoyancy and warmth if needed, water temp is about 26 degrees Celsius) we can supply all equipment if you don't want to bring your own.
Have you signed the liability waiver?
Have you signed the liability waiver and sent this back to us? If you are unsure please resend this to us prior to arriving in Tonga.
Do you have any dietary requirements?
Let us know if you have any dietary requirements for the lunches on the boat. we will attempt to cater for those with dietary needs.
Are you looking to do other activities during your stay?
Are you looking to go diving, deep sea fishing, kayaking or partaking in any other activities on your leisure days off or before and after your tours? We can help you organise these.
Do you get seasick?
Bring seasick tablets if you feel motion sickness. We are generally in protected waters around the islands but sometimes it may get a little choppy.
Staying connected while you are away.
Those wishing to stay connected while away, I suggest you pick up a local SIM card when you arrive in Tonga as roaming costs can add up.
Are there ATM’s on the island?
There are ATM's at the international airport in Tongatapu as well as 2 banks (ANZ and Westpac) in Vava’u Tonga so you can get cash out as you need it.
